Osteria Mattone to Host Wine Dinner with Castello Banfi on October 2
It’s easy to make pour decisions when pairing food and wine. Let Osteria Mattone do all the work and revel in a delectable, four-course dinner alongside wine pairings from well-known winemakers Castello Banfi, all thoughtfully curated by executive chef Eric Sell and in-house sommelier Daniel Pernice. On Wednesday, October 2, starting at 6 p.m., all are invited to indulge in the following coursed menu of regional specialties:
- Amuse: Prosciutto-Wrapped Figs: fresh-shaved artichokes, pecorino, red leaf lettuce, olive oil
- Primo: Roasted Duck Breast: caramelized apples, fresh thyme, endive, duck jus
- Secondo: Wild Boar Agnolotti: stuffed pasta, pana, fresh peas, pecorino
- Dolci: Strawberry Lemon Tart
Guests will have the pleasure of hearing the story behind the wine and more from vice president of Wine Education for Banfi Vintners, Sharon McCarthy. Tickets are $89.00 per person and include four courses with wine pairings, tax and gratuity, with a limited number of tickets available online here. Please note that the event starts at 6 p.m. with reception wine, and the first-course will be served at 6:30 p.m.
